Mandela Day
Mandela Day, celebrated every year on 18 July, honors the legacy of Nelson Mandela by inspiring people to take action and make the world a better place. The day is based on the idea that each person has the power to transform their community and create positive change. People are encouraged to give 67 minutes of their time — symbolizing the 67 years Mandela spent fighting for justice, equality, and human rights — through acts of service, volunteerism, and kindness.
