Mr. Sechaba Thole is a certified Chartered Accountant. He started his career as a trainee accountant at KPMG. He held middle management positions at the Auditor General Office of South Africa. In 2015 he started a private practice as the shareholder and director of Thole Chartered Accountants.

He currently serves as an independent director at the following institutions:

1. Sishen Iron Ore Company-Community Development Trust responsible: Group Audit and Risk Committee, Projects Review Committee, and the Investment Review Committee,
2. He was also appointed as independent non-executive director by Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) for the Kimberley Diamond and Jewelry Incubator (KDJI) and was also appointed as the Acting CEO of KDJI.
3. Former Chairperson of the Audit and Risk Committee at Kathu Solar Plant

Prior to his appointment as the interim CFO at the SANPC, he was Independent non-executive director at the Strategic Fuel Fund responsible for Board Audit Risk Committee. He also served on the Social and Ethics Committee as well as the Investments and Projects Committee, as well as a non-executive director at Avedia Energy (Pty) Ltd which is a subsidiary of the Strategic Fuel Fund which deals with Gas storage in Saldanha.

He holds a Bachelor of Accounting Degree from the University of Johannesburg, and a BCom Honors in Accounting and CTA (Certificate of Theory in Accounting) from UNISA, respectively. Currently completing master’s in business leadership at UNISA.
